We went for our 3 year appointment (yikes!) yesterday. We did okay - still some tears but I thought much better than previous years. The fingerstick at the start of the appointment really made them mad! The doctor was very pleased with them and told us they are doing awesome! Always very nice to hear! He said not to worry about the potty training - he says their lack of interest is very normal for this age. Not sure if he was just trying to make me feel better :) but it worked. They are pretty much dead even in height and weight - both 30 pounds (I think Sean had a few ounces on Emma) and both around 37 inches (I think Sean had 1/4 of an inch on Emma, but they didn't really stand up that straight so it may not be accurate!) No shots for the first time in 3 years! That was nice. Overall he said they are doing great and to keep up the good work. I love their pediatrician (he was also mine!) and wishes we could meet with him more often! He always has the best advice nad makes me feel like I am doing the right things with them. Too bad they are so darn healthy we only get to see him for well checkups once a year!
After they were so good at the doctor's, we went to the mall to Build a Bear for their birthday! They had so much fun picking out the bear and then putting it together. And they of course picked the most expensive outfits in the whole store, but it's their birthday. They got to name them and came up with some pretty original names~
Here is Sean and "Hockey Bear"

Emma and "Princess Bear" Aren't the names great??

Loving their new bears

Trying to show they are 3! Those 3 fingers are tough to control!

We have their big Halloween birthday party this weekend so I'll be back with a longer post. As you can see by the pictures, we're still trying to unpack, so computer time has been limited. We'll definitely be back on track soon, just in time for the holidays!
